Alghero Half Marathon 7th

It got way too hot for me after about 6 miles. It felt easy right until it didn’t. I was bopping along in front and then boom started to drop back and felt way too hot. The locals seemed to know that the pace needed to be slow at the start. It was forecast 28 degrees but it must have been closer to 30 out in the exposed areas. I was the only one sweating, the locals seemed fine. The heat is so frustrating to run in, I can’t seem to hack it at all, after about 30 minutes I’m completely useless whether I go off hard or reserved. Won my age category and so did Rhona.
