Corner to Corner, Penultimate Day 59: Dover to the end of Marina Pier, reaching the 4th and final corner then to Gillingham

https://www.cycling4charity.org.uk Great route, apart from a congested, bumpy, glass-strewn part of industrial Sittingbourne, which will be replaced. Joyous for our achievements, I declared it to 2 men walking Marina Curve pier: Aaron and Jim had managed the building of it and Dover's new Outer Marina and will publicise the cause. Tea and cake with a friend in Faversham.

4th corner. Security prevented us being at the furthest point out to sea, i.e. the lighthouse at the end of the Outer Harbour of Admiralty Pier Extension in the Western Docks, which Google Maps titles Dover Cruise Terminal and Dover Cruise Terminal 2. Historic England's map gives far more detail than OS Maps. This video confirms access is possible for anglers with a dock pass, so next time a bit more admin to enable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bINyjmHI-fA Note that Google Maps' Streetview does not include the pier, but then also excludes where we eventually were photographed. We went back over the A20 Viaduct, Union St and Wellington Bridge and walked to the end of what is a totally new marina pier attached to the north of North Pier, - compare Google Maps with Historic England's - approaching a Police van for the driver to photograph us but he drove off. A lady walking her dog graciously obliged.
Jim ?, Ralph and Aaron Rees, foremen with Knights Brown, who managed the construction of Marina Curve we were on and the Outer Marina. They were out checking their product. I jubilantly exclaimed our achievement to them. They shared and acknowledged us. We got talking, learning about their charity activities. They would publicise ours.
After leaving the lady dog walker, we met and talked at length about C2C and their charity activities with Aaron Rees and Jim ? who said they had managed the construction of what I now know as Outer Marina and Marina Curve, which I now find was constructed by Knights Brown - see the video for its extent. Grade II listed 1877 Clock Tower and 1866 former lifeboat house: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1393606 Pedaler on the Port cafe, started by a retired professional cyclist. Recommended by the one I met yesterday. I exclaimed about our achievement - to no effect :(
