Corner to Corner, Day 46 (rest day): Ride to/from Eastside Bikes...

https://www.cycling4charity.org.uk ...for new pannier, which Andy fitted. They have a week's work, removed and replaced the pannier immediately - they always attend to tourers straight away. I went there on Gregor Russell's recommendation. We met him last evening. He gave us a mini tour of Central Edinburgh on the way to the hostel. He used to run a bike shop.

Thank you, Andy. I walked into the shop with my bike, met Andy and told him what I needed. He dropped what he was doing and spent a good 20 mins attending to my needs. Another cyclist entered with front wheel spokes missing. Andy could book him in 8 days! They attend to tourers immediately. He charged for the panniers and not for his time. Yet another example of Scottish kindness.

Largely built in two phases: 1789-93 and 1815-34, the dome added in 1887.
