Checked Outlook emails, discovered Halifax had blocked payment and tonight's B&B had cancelled booking 4 days ago, despite having a record about this trip. Called this evening; apparently fraud monitoring might cause it again. Must monitor emails daily.
Great journey, except when following NCN Route 1 to top of hill after Dingwall, saw causeway which could reduce distance and climb. Will investigate to revise route, I wrote at the time. I have. Via Cromarty Bridge which Google says, "pavement/cycle lanes on both sides", it is 1.5 miles less incl 0.1 less A road and climbing 125 fewer feet.
Also to add 100ft/30m to, then back from, to see the Cumberland Stone (used as breakfast table then viewing point by English leader) after visiting Battle of Culloden field, before turning left to Culloden at the crossroads.
Today's 68 miles more tiring having belted yesterday.
