Corner to Corner, Day 23: Garstang to Tebay

https://www.cycling4charity.org.uk Good route. Need to check it in Kirby Lonsdale - see if can avoid going up, down and up again, and massive climb just before the end if as we are , the overnighter is Westmireland Hotel Tebay. STUNNING views all day. Lorraine gained sainthood seeing J.Atkinson est 1837, coffee roasters and tea shop in Lancaster. Their cafe told me the type of Ethiopian coffee I was about to drink. Heavenly. Also need to reroute via Lancaster Castle, which is in the road parallel with J. Atkinson. PS. Anisa is also a Saint, and has been for ages.

About 3 miles from Garstang. The horizon has a clump of trees, and a grey mass either side which at first looks like heavy cloud, rather than the distant hills they are!

Lorraine spotted his coffee roaster and tea shop and asked if I wanted a coffee stop. I had shouted to an empty landscape not 20 mins before, I WANT BLACK COFFEE. A heavenly find.
Their cafe next door replied, when asked, that the coffee used for their Americano was a prototype Ethiopian ... followed by words I did not understand. The coffee was bliss.
All that Lorraine could have seen as we swept by.

Looking back at the 1787 Skerton Bridge over the River Lune, which takes the A6 south. We had cycled to this point before realising our planned route was actually on a road to the right.
