Corner to Corner, Day 17: Cheddar to Caldicot

Pumping up the tyres in Cheddar, I undid the middle section of the valve, and whilst re-tightening it, also tightened the valve in the wheel, damaging its rubber seal, (as I was advised by Stanley Bridge Cycles on its repair in October). This seeped Cafe Latex sealant over the next 1997 miles before the tyre remained flat on Monday 26th September, when we inserted an inner tube containing the sealant.
Strawberry Line, which at one point was beside apple orchards, cut through the first hill, and the other was a gentle climb. The apparent route over the Severn Bridge was blocked; we found another after a spell of A road with respectful fast drivers. Only small sections to adjust. Friends in Caldicot celebrated us with a communal BBQ in the evening. Time to record outside not inside churches.
Alarmed that Lorraine 's Garmin seemingly interpreted counter-clockwise waypoints of route thin a clockwise dire tion.purposefully created around historic/arts parts of Bristol
