Corner to Corner, Day 10: Menheniot to Penryn

We thought this would be the toughest of the 60 days. We cycled 21 miles in the first 6 hours to 14.37 averaging 3.5mph. At that rate, it would take another 10 hours to do the 51 miles. I had gone to town avoiding A roads at the cost of deep drops and high gradient climbs. To re-consider. We elected to follow Google Maps' 4 mile shorter route via smoother though still hilly A390, taking 5 hours to do 27 miles. Drivers kept their distance.
