The Chiang Mai Marathon 🇹🇭

Looked up things to do in CM and saw this was happening! Hoped to do the 10k but they only had spots for the marathon so said I'd give it a go. Good event and interesting to start at 3am! Could maybe have done with a few more water stations. Don't think I've ever sweated like it. Minimal training with my last long run months ago, but kinda wanted to see how I'd get on. Didn't have the legs from 24k, after a nice bit preceding it around the half. A strong finish is always a bonus and my fastest km was the final one. Was torture at times though😅 had a feeling I'd get sub 4 and happy to have got within an hour of the PB. Shout out to Jason a Dub I met and also a local lad who spurred me on at the end and even shouted "Go Dublin" 😂, as well as all the passengers on Oceanic Flight 815. 3 months to DaNang, where I hope to put in a better performance with some good training. ‍ 🎷🐛 28.66 new kilometers -- From Wandrer
