Great Railway Run 25k (3rd)

Great fun, in a group with Cillian, Danny and Aidan until about 5 miles, Danny pushed on just before the pedestrian bridge leaving me with Aidan. At 8 miles going through Monkstown John Meade and Barry Twohig appeared both dressed in the Barr’s away kit of all orange. I stayed with them until the hill at Raffeen where Barry destroyed us all. I was in 4th until about 23.5k when I caught Danny who had led about 90% of the race. The finish was nice and downhill so I was able to hold him off for third. Up ahead John Meade never got back to Barry after the attack on the hill. Great weather, it’s so nice not to be fearing death from the cold and rain after the race. If it was like this all the time it would be a great country.
